Pages arrive out of order more often than anyone expects: a double sided scan that produced all the fronts and then all the backs, a report merged from files that were selected in the wrong sequence, an appendix that belongs at the end rather than the middle.
Reordering rebuilds the document with the same pages in a new sequence. Nothing is redrawn and no page content changes, so the result is the original document with its pages in the order you asked for.
3,1,2: the third page first, then the first, then the second4,1-3: move the last page of a four page document to the frontRequiring the complete list is deliberate. A partial order would silently delete the pages left out, and losing pages to a typo is not a mistake you can undo from a download.
List the page numbers in the order you want them, separated by commas. For a three page document, 3,1,2 puts the last page first. Ranges work too: 4,1-3 moves page 4 to the front.
Yes. The list must name every page exactly once. A partial list would quietly drop the pages you left out, so it is refused instead. Use the Delete PDF Pages tool when you want to remove pages.
Not with this tool. Each page appears exactly once in the result. Duplicating pages is a separate operation.
No. The same pages are written into a new document in the sequence you gave. Text, images and page size are untouched.
