Why Convert Webpages to PDF?
Converting a webpage to PDF is one of the most practical document tasks on the web. PDF captures the page as a permanent snapshot that can be read offline, shared without an internet connection, printed reliably, or stored for legal and archiving purposes. Unlike browser-saved HTML files, a PDF is self-contained and looks identical on every device and operating system.
- Archiving articles and research for offline reading
- Saving price comparisons and product listings
- Creating printable versions of web content
- Legal and compliance documentation
- Preserving web content before it changes
Current Workaround: HTML to PDF
While the URL-to-PDF feature is under development, you can convert any publicly accessible webpage today using the following steps: open the webpage in your browser, press Ctrl+U (or Cmd+U on Mac) to view the page source, select all (Ctrl+A) and copy (Ctrl+C), then navigate to our HTML to PDF converter and paste the source to generate your PDF.
What Is Being Built
The upcoming Webpage to PDF feature will use a headless Chromium browser to fully render pages including JavaScript, dynamic content, and lazy-loaded images before converting to PDF. This will ensure accurate capture of single-page applications, news articles, and content-rich pages — with full privacy respect and no tracking of the URLs you submit.
